Homework counts 15% of your course grade.
Homework assignments are collected AT THE BEGINNING
of the class period when due. Late papers will not be graded,
but will be kept by the instructor to look at in the
case of a borderline final grade.
(If your reason for missing
a homework assignment is a valid university excuse, see the
instructor. Note: Bad weather is not a valid excuse, unless
the entire university is closed because of bad weather.)
Homework assignments and solutions will
be posted below. When the graders have graded your paper,
it will be returned to you in your recitation section.
Please obey the following rules in preparing your homework
solutions:
Put your name, student ID number, e-mail address,
and RECITATION SECTION NUMBER
at the top of the first page.
Please staple your homework pages together
so that pages do not become lost. Homework solutions
can be prepared either with pen/pencil
or a word processor, as long as it looks neat and not
sloppy. Points may be deducted for work that is
offensive to the eye. Please solve the homework problems in the order
assigned, so that the graders do not have to waste time trying
to find your solution.
Matlab problem solutions must be accompanied
by a PRINTOUT of your Matlab program and program run
for full credit. Matlab programs written in pen or pencil
will receive no credit. The homework you turn in must be your own work,
in accordance with the student conduct code mentioned in
the syllabus. (The only exception to this rule is on recitation lab
reports, which are group exercises.)
