Stray Capacitance
•Turns of inductors are separated
by insulation
–May cause stray or parasitic capacitance
•At low frequencies, it can be
ignored
–At high frequencies, it must be taken into account
•Some coils are wound in multiple
sections to reduce stray capacitance
